In the time since our last post, we’ve driven from Italy to northern England, photographed Phil & Jen’s wedding and driven back! 2600 miles, 5 different beds in 7 nights, a car service, a portrait session & a lot of coffee!! We’re home for just two days before travelling for another wedding in Italy followed by a quick flight back to the UK for a wedding on Saturday & then home again Monday? Are you following this?!
We’re rapidly catching up on our backlog of weddings to process. Unlike many photographers, we actually work every single file that goes into our clients album and this inevitably adds greatly to our time – but we strongly believe that it’s absolutely worth every minute spent on them. During our busiest periods of the year, this can slow down our delivery process – especially if we lose days whilst travelling but we do as much as we can whilst we’re sat in Airports etc. to stay in touch with everyone and keep them up to date with where we’re up to.
Meanwhile, next year’s bookings have gone through the roof. We’re already 50% booked on our target and with several enquiries open, we’re likely to be fully booked by the end of this year. If you’re thinking of reserving your date with us, please don’t be disappointed by waiting too long :(
Ciao for now! – Andy

We spent a few days in the Dordogne (France) last weekend in order to photograph Martin & Rachel’s wedding at Chateau Le Mas de Montet. After a couple of beautifully warm days, we were all surprised to wake up to an overcast & wet Saturday! The ceremony was switched from outdoors to a beautiful room in the Chateau and the enclosed space made for a really intimate ceremony. As fortune would have it, the weather cleared up later in the day offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and, later in the evening, the fireworks.
It was also great to catch up with Dave & Nina (we photographed their wedding last year in Siena) and see so many of their friends & relatives who shared both of these lovely weddings.
As we’re away from home, we don’t have the means to ‘work’ these images – but here are a few to give you an idea of what’s to come:
Le Mas de Montet – this is actually out of sequence, as it was later in the day when the sun made an appearance and lit up the building, but it sets the stage perfectly for the images that follow. Check out the large Redwood in the foreground.

A confetti moment.

I was going to put this into black & white but if you can see the colour of this little guy’s eyes together with the boquet colour, you’ll understand why it stays this way.

Martin & Rachel were just getting ready for a large group photograph. I like the way they are the only ones paying attention whilst Amy is trying to gather everyone else together.

Maggie – a VIP (Very important pooch!)

Awwww.

And finally, from the Mitterrand suite looking out at the couple on their balcony.

That’s all for now – we’re in and out of internet contact whilst we’re travelling for this week’s weddings; if we don’t reply straight away to your emails, that’s why. Ciao! – Andy
No, not one of David Williams’ photographs of me on my wedding day (as it has been titled) but the stunning view from our hotel near Bellagio, Lake Como. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and spent 2 nights here over Pete & Simone’s wedding. We have got to go back and stay there again. What an amazing sight to wake up to!

And the breakfast room wasn’t bad either ;)

We’re currently working hard on David & Jenni’s album – lots of catching up to do and we’re away again on Friday for Matt & Cath’s wedding south of Rome. Lots to do, so little time! We’ll have some of Pete & Simone’s highlights up here tomorrow. – Andy
It was around a year ago that we were last in Barcelona – that time for Lee & Kate’s wedding. This time we travelled out for Carl & Suzie’s big day. As usual where flights or long distances are involved, we flew out 2 days before the wedding to allow for delays, strikes etc; however, everything went to plan and we arrived with a day in hand so we ventured out into this beautiful city on Saturday for some sight-seeing. Despite our love of all things Italian (and obvious bias), Barcelona is actually my favourite of all the cities I’ve ever visited.
If you’ve never been, plan a long weekend there at least and drop us a line to let us know you’re going – we have a few tips! Here’s a glimpse of a Saturday in July in Barcelona:
It’s a city of wonderful balconies (and umbrellas in this case!)

A huge choice of blended 100% fruit drinks for no more than €1.50 from the amazing market just off Las Ramblas

Yachts in the marina

For a city break with a difference (and for a breather from the built-up areas), take your bikini (or trunks!) and visit the beaches (or at the very least the beach cafes)

We’re playing ‘catch-up’ with the wedding processing now, having shot so many in a relatively short period and allowing for all of the travel that’s been necessary. Check back tomorrow for some ’sneak-peeks’ from Carl & Suzie’s wedding in a quite unique venue! -Andy
We’ve a fair number of UK weddings to shoot over the next few weeks and flying to/from Italy so often wasn’t really practical – besides, Jasmine would have spent an eternity in kennels, so we decided to drive back to Amy’s parents and camp there for a few weeks.
We left home on Tuesday morning and 29 hours later arrived in Warrington. The total driving time was 20hrs 2 minutes – and when you factor in 1.30hrs for the Channel Tunnel crossing (pet passport to sort etc.) and just under 6 hours sleep in a Formule 1 near Paris, you can see we didn’t actually stop much otherwise! Strangely, we didn’t see a single police car on the road in Italy or France and yet within 5 minutes of joining the M20 near Dover, we saw 3 traffic cars.
Ironically, we’ve got to fly back out to Italy in a couple of weeks for a wedding & we’ve another to photograph in Spain before we drive back to Italy – it’s a good job we love to travel!
We’ve just photographed Stephen & Julie’s wedding and we’ll have a quick look through the images today for some to post on the blog tomorrow. -AT
