Richard & Lucy take 2!

March 22nd, 2007 admin No comments

Richard & Lucy were married in Australia in December. Just to bring them back down to earth, we got them dressed up again in their wedding outfits and on the coldest night imaginable (gale force winds, hail, snow etc.) – ventured out to a hotel and made use of the foyer for some fun photographs. Here’s a small selection:

The first one just sums up Lucy’s personality :)

What a pin-up!

The next one is processed a little differently.

Ahhh…

Hard as nails!

Coincidentally, having just posted about Jasmine, we took her to our Vets to discuss her vaccination paperwork and whilst there we mentioned that she had a small cyst on her side. The vet suggested that rather than let it just keep growing, we had it removed whilst it was convenient to do so. 24 hours later, we dropped her back there for her operation and we now have a ridiculously bouncy, over-the-top friendly monster with an elizabethan collar! This can be quite painful when she charges around and catches you with it and I’m certain it’s doing the house decoration no favours either :(
Jasmine obviously couldn’t care less – it makes it easier still to trap bees! Here she is as of today, and for the benefit of the squeemish amongst you I’ve only posted this link to the image of her ‘war wound‘.

What amazes me, is that even with a large cut and stitches, dogs just get on with it. Can you imagine being operated on like this and turfed out of hospital same day with no painkillers? -AT

It’s bee season!

March 13th, 2007 admin No comments

Today, the garden was noticeable for the odd bees foraging around those few flowers that are open for business. Unfortunately for them, it was the start of Jasmine’s annual purge on anything that buzzes, has wings or simply moves! She’s a complete horror and must eat dozens of bees & wasps during the course of a week. Everytime I looked out the window she had her head burried in a plant looking for bees. One day, she’ll be stung – perhaps that’s what needs to happen to stop her munching them. Here’s the horror herself:

She sometimes looks a little skinny, but she’s not – she’s just a really good healthy weight :) -AT

In print…

Bride magazine has featured some of our images in an article on Dave & Laurie’s wedding. Their wedding was a really memorable day for us as well – Dave is a jeweller and he’d secretly hand-made Amy’s engagement ring. He gave it to me on their wedding day (honestly!) and I popped the question on the way home! Anyway, here’s the magazine in question and the appropriate page – can you believe though, they got our photo ‘credit’ wrong?!! Doh! -AT

2009 bookings

March 8th, 2007 admin No comments

Louise & Chris have just booked us for their wedding in 2009 – congratulations on your engagement folks and best of wishes with your planning – we love Rowton Castle!

Rowton Castle

Although a date reservation like this is a LONG way off, it’s our 2nd booking for that year now and it just goes to prove how early you need to be thinking about reserving your venue and your wedding photographers – if you want to be certain of getting where/who you want. Couples getting married in Italy often book at much shorter notice and we do find that we turn down more enquiries than we accept this time of year – mainly due to being booked already. -AT
